The DreamSF Fellowship is a leadership and professional development program for immigrants in the Bay Area.

Professional Development

  • The DreamSF Fellowship is an opportunity to grow a network of mentors and gain experience in direct services, advocacy, and immigration law careers.

  • Fellows have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of areas through professional enrichment seminars and immigrant-serving work at their host organizations.

  • DreamSF Fellows gain valuable skills and knowledge to help guide their professional choices. 

  • Fellows work directly with the immigrant community and along professionals at their non-profit placements getting real exposure on subjects of their interest.

  • DreamSF Fellows gain valuable soft and professional skills as well as support to help guide their professional choices.

Am I the right candidate?

  • Are invested in working with and supporting immigrant communities.

  • Are motivated, hard-working and open to a wide range of personal and professional growth.

  • Can articulate a relationship to one's Bay Area immigrant community.

  • Are committed to a 28-week or 1-year long fellowship.

  • Have a flexible schedule to accommodate 20 hours a week for the fellowship.

  • Are 18 years old or older.

  • Have obtained a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Are enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or certificate program.

The DreamSF Fellowship is a program of The City & County of San Francisco Office of Civic Engagement & Immigrant Affairs (OCEIA). OCEIA is a policy, compliance, direct services, and grantmaking office. OCEIA’s mission is to promote inclusive policies and foster immigrant assistance programs that lead to full civic, economic and linguistic integration.
